BREAKING: Officially Morata joins Atletico Madrid on loan from Chelsea until summer 2020

Chelsea forward Alvaro Morata has joined Atletico Madrid on loan until the summer of 2020.

Atletico Madrid announced they have 

reached an agreement with Chelsea over 

the loan over the loan of the 26-year-old 

striker. 

Morata has signed his contract after 

having passed his medical on Sunday.

The striker, who had 2 spells at Real 

Madrid, actually spent four seasons at 

Atletico's academy. 

Morata joined Chelsea in summer 2017 

but failed to impress in front of goals, only 

netting 16 times during his one and a half 

year at Stamford Bridge.

The striker has only started 11 times 

under Maurizio Sarri this season and 

would certainly have fewer chances after 

Gonzalo Higuain joined the club.
