18-year-old Arsenal starlet Smith Rowe signs a new 'long-term' contract with the club.
The 18-year-old was part of the first-team
squad that travelled to Singapore for
Arsenal's pre-season tour and made his
mark with a superb goal against Atletico
Madrid in the International Champions
Cup.
He also provided an assist for Alexandre
Lacazette in our 5-1 win over PSG on
Saturday.
The Hale End graduate joined us at the
age of 10 and made 11 appearances for
our under-23s last season and was also a
regular for our under-18s.
He made his first appearance for the first-
team earlier this month in the pre-season
friendly against Boreham Wood in Unai
Emery’s first match as head coach.
Emile is an England youth international
was part of the team that won the FIFA
Under-17 World Cup last year in India.
Emery said: “I am pleased with Emile’s
contribution so far this pre-season. He is
working very hard and has lots of
potential. I look forward to working with
him and the other young players and
helping them to develop as Arsenal
players.”
