Willian insists he is happy at Chelsea as Man Utd are dealt blow in pursuit of £65m star
Willian has played down talk of a move
away from Chelsea.
The Brazilian has attracted interest from
Manchester United and Barcelona this
summer after a frustrating end to last
season under former boss Antonio Conte.
A reunion with Jose Mourinho at Old
Trafford has long been mooted but Willian
has insisted he is happy at Stamford
Bridge.
Willian is yet to return to pre-season
training under new boss Maurizio Sarri
and
won't feature in this weekend's
Community
Shield.
But speaking to Globo Esporte in Brazil, he
said: "I am very happy at Chelsea and I
am
very happy living in London."
Chelsea are keen on Christian Pulisic at
Borussia Dortmund - but are unlikely to
make a move unless Willian departs.
Dortmund are said to want over £62m for
the teenager, who is the club's prized
asset.
Last week, Sarri insisted he was confident
Willian would stay put - along with Eden
Hazard and Thibaut Courtois.
The Belgian pair have both been linked
with Real Madrid but no deal has
materialised with under two weeks of the
transfer window remaining.
"It depends on the club so we have to wait
but I am confident," Sarri said.
"It is a pleasure to have Courtois, to have
Willian, to have Hazard."
