Cristiano Ronaldo finally responds to rape allegations

Truth will come out' - Ronaldo responds to rape allegations

Juventus striker Cristiano

 Ronaldo insists

“it’s not my obsession” to win individual

awards, and expects

“the truth will come out”

 on rape allegations.

The Portuguese superstar was said to be

incensed that he didn’t win

 UEFA’s player of

the year, and he didn’t attend FIFA’s The

Best awards.

Some have even suggested

 he feels there’s

 an agenda against him

after leaving Real

Madrid.

“It’s not my obsession to win individual

awards,” Ronaldo insisted,

speaking in the

Press conference ahead

of the Manchester

United game tomorrow.

“I need to concentrate on

 Juve. It’s been a

fantastic time, everything

is going well and

 the team is fantastic.

“Winning individual awards isn’t an

obsession. It helps, but it’s not everything.

“I won’t make comparisons

 [to Real Madrid],

I’m happy to be playing here and I was

happy to play at Manchester United and

Real. I consider myself a happy and lucky

 man.

“I'm adapting to Italian football.

 It's different

, but I'm having a lot of fun.

My teammates

are helping me and I’m very happy to play

for this fantastic club.

“On and off the pitch I always smile. I’m

happy, I feel like a happy man.

I’m playing

for a fantastic club,

I have a fantastic family,

four children and my health. I have

everything.

“The rest doesn’t disturb me.”

Nevada police have re-opened an

investigation into an

 alleged rape in 2009,

and CR7 was asked about

 those allegations.

“You’re not listening. I’m a happy, happy

man. We issued a statement a couple of

weeks ago. I’m not here to tell lies, I feel

confident in the work of my lawyers.

“I’m having fun playing football,

 I’m enjoying

life and I have people who take care of

these things. The truth will come out.”

The striker is very familiar

with Old Trafford,

 having made his breakthrough at

Manchester United.

“It will be a difficult game, United have a

great team,” Ronaldo said.

“United are at home,

 but we’re Juventus. If

we play well, and

we play the way the Coach

wants us to play, we can win this game.

“Of course we have to respect Manchester

United, they have a fantastic team and a

fantastic Coach [Jose Mourinho].

“That said, I expect

Juventus to win. Going

back to Manchester is

always really

emotional for me.”
