Chelsea want Coutinho to replace Hazard
Chelsea want Coutinho to replace Hazard (Independent)
If Eden Hazard ends up leaving Chelsea to
play for Real Madrid, Roman Abramovich
wants Barcelona's Philippe Coutinho to
replace him, per the Independent.
Chelsea have already signed Borussia
Dortmund winger Christian Pulisic but they
would look to spend some of their
transfer haul on Coutinho.
Madrid will not pay the 250 million euros
Chelsea want but they could reach a deal
with Hazard's contract expiring in 2020.
They could barter Chelsea down to 100m
euros.
Meanwhile Barca's most expensive
signing is not performing as they wanted
and in the Clasico on Wednesday he had
one of his worst games since joining.
Malcom was the surprise pick in the XI
and outperformed Coutinho.
Losing the quality of Hazard could be a
problem but Chelsea are thinking about
Coutinho's fine performances for
Liverpool
and believe he could be a good signing.
